Informations

The Tunisian Armed Forces (Arabic : lqwt. lmslH@. ltwnsy@), consist of the Tunisian Army and Air Force, as well as the Navy. Tunisia's armed forces had more than 150,000 active-duty personnel as of 2019. Among them, 80,000 were conscripts. The 12,000-member national security guard was the paramilitary force. Tunisia is part of United Nations peacekeeping efforts at the DROC (MONUSCO), and Cote dIvoire.



The previous United Nations peacekeeping deployments to Tunisia's armed forces included: Cambodia (UNTAC), Namibia, UNTAG, Somalia, Rwanda and Burundi (UNMEE), as well as the 1960s mission into the Congo (ONUC). Rachid Sabbagh was the former minister of defense.
