The Kingdom of Thailand's armed forces are represented by the Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTARF). The King of Thailand is the nominal head of Thai Armed Forces (cchmthaphaithy). The Ministry of Defense of Thailand manages the armed forces. It is commanded by Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters and is headed by a minister of defense.

The most powerful position within the Thai Armed Forces is the commander in chief of Royal Thai Army. This day is observed by the Ministry of Defense of Thailand, which is headed by the minister of defence and commanded the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, which is in turn led the Chief of Defence Forces.
