Informations

The Sri Lanka Armed Forces, which includes the Sri Lanka Army and Navy as well as the Sri Lanka Air Force, is the unified military of Sri Lanka. It is governed by Ministry of Defence (MoD). These three services are home to around 346,700 personnel.

Conscription has never been enforced in Sri Lanka. The Ministry of Defence also oversees the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, but it is staffed with civilians.
