The Chilean Armed Forces, also known as Fuerzas Armadas de Chile in Spanish, is the unifying military organization that includes the Chilean Army and Air Forces. The President of Chile is the commander in chief of the military and forms policy through the Minister for Defence.

The Chilean Armed Forces has become one of the most professional and technologically advanced armed forces in Latin America, thanks to several major reequipment projects. Most equipment for the Chilean Army comes from France, Spain, Israel, France and the United States.
