The military of Bolivia is the Armed Forces of Bolivia (Spanish Fuerzas Armadas de Bolivia). The Armed Forces of Bolivia is responsible for Bolivia's defense, internal and external. They are composed of the Bolivian Army, the Bolivian Air Force, and the Bolivian navy. These institutions are dependent on the Ministry of Defence of Bolivia. The Bolivian Army, the Bolivian Air Force, and the Bolivian Naval are all part of the Armed Forces reserves.

However, the Ministry of Government is dependent in times of war on the Bolivian Police. There is very little official data on the size and composition the Bolivian armed forces. However, it is believed that the three major forces (army navy and air force), total between 40,000 and 70,000 troops. The Bolivian police would have around 40,000 troops.
