Informations

Angola's military is known as the Angolan Armed forces (Portuguese: Forcas Armadas Angolanas), or FAA. The General Staff of the Armed Forces, three components of the FAA are: the Army (Exercito), the Navy(Marinha de Guerra), and the National Air Force ("Forca Aerea Nacional”).

The reported total manpower was around 107,000 in 2013. Since 2018, the FAA's Chief of General Staff Antonio Egidio de Sousa Santos is the FAA's Head. He reports to Joao Ernesto Dos Santos, Minister of National Defense.
