Noordoostpolder ([ˈnoːrtoːstˌpɔldər] (listen), English: North-East Polder) is a polder and municipality in the Flevoland province in the central Netherlands.



Formerly, it was also called Urker Land. Emmeloord is the administrative center, located in the heart of the Noordoostpolder. For history, see Zuiderzee Works.

Singkawang or San Khew Jong in Hakka (Hakka POJ: Sân-khiéu-yòng), is a city located in the province of West Kalimantan, on the island of Borneo in Indonesia. It is located at about 145 km north of Pontianak, the provincial capital, and is surrounded by the Pasi, Poteng, and Sakok mountains. Singkawang is derived from the Hakka Chinese, sân-khiéu-yòng which refers to "a town in hills nearby a sea and estuary.



" The city covers an area of 504 km2 and had a population of 186,462 at the 2010 Census and 207,144 at the 2015 Census; the most recent official estimate (as at mid 2019) is 222,910.
