Namur ( nə-MOOR, nam-OOR, French: [namyʁ]; Dutch: Namen [ˈnaːmə(n)] (listen); Walloon: Nameur) is a city and municipality in Wallonia, Belgium. It is both the capital of the province of Namur and of Wallonia, hosting the Parliament of Wallonia, Walloon Government and administration. Namur stands at the confluence of the Sambre and Meuse rivers and straddles three different regions – Hesbaye to the north, Condroz to the south-east, and Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse to the south-west.



The city of Charleroi is located to the west. The language spoken is French. Eš (German: Esche) is a village and municipality (obec) in Pelhřimov District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. The municipality covers an area of 4.07 square kilometres (1.



57 sq mi), and has a population of 50 (as at 2007). Eš lies approximately 16 kilometres (10 mi) west of Pelhřimov, 43 km (27 mi) west of Jihlava, and 83 km (52 mi) south-east of Prague.
