Mykolaiv (Ukrainian: Микола́їв [mɪkoˈlɑjiu̯] (listen)), also known as Nikolaev or Nikolayev (Russian: Никола́ев [nʲɪkɐˈla(j)ɪf]) is a city in southern Ukraine, the administrative center of the Mykolaiv Oblast.
