Chișinău ( KISH-ih-NOW, also US: KEE-shee-NOW, Romanian: [kiʃiˈnəw] (listen)), also known as Kishinev (Russian: Кишинёв, tr. Kishinjóv [kʲɪʂɨˈnʲɵf]), is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Moldova. The city is Moldova's main industrial and business center, and is located in the middle of the country, on the river Bâc, a tributary of the Dniester. In accordance with the results of the 2014 census, the city proper had a population of 532,513, while the population of the Municipality of Chișinău (which includes the city itself and other neighboring communities) was 700,000.



Chișinău is the most economically prosperous area in Moldova and its largest transportation hub. Nearly a third of Moldova's population lives in the metro region.

The Northern Coast of Egypt (Arabic: الساحل الشمالي, "El Sahel El Shamally", North Coast, commonly shortened to الساحل "El Sahel", "The Coast" or "The Egyptian Coast") extends for about 1,050 km (650 mi) along the Mediterranean Sea, it covers entirely the northern territory of Egypt. The north coast has been the hub of sea travel between the Mediterranean Sea and the Nile Delta for over 2,300 years. During summer, Egyptians usually travel to the North Coast to flee heat in other towns and cities Egypt. They stay in villages and resorts located in Sidi Abdel Rahman, El Alamein, and Ras Al Hekma.
