Aosta (UK: , US: , Italian: [aˈɔsta] (listen); French: Aoste [ɔst], formerly Aouste; Francoprovençal: Aoûta [aˈuta], Veulla [ˈvəla] or Ouhta [ˈuhta]; Latin: Augusta Praetoria Salassorum; Walser: Augschtal; Piedmontese: Osta) is the principal city of Aosta Valley, a bilingual region in the Italian Alps, 110 km (68 mi) north-northwest of Turin.

It is situated near the Italian entrance of the Mont Blanc Tunnel, at the confluence of the Buthier and the Dora Baltea, and at the junction of the Great and Little St Bernard Pass routes.

Niedów [ˈɲeduf] (German: Nieda, 1937-45: Wolfsberg) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zgorzelec, within Zgorzelec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the German border.

It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) south of Zgorzelec, and 144 kilometres (89 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław. The village has a population of 15.
