Algiers ( al-JEERZ; Arabic: الجزائر; Berber: Dzayer; French: Alger) is the capital and largest city of Algeria. The city's population at the 2008 Census was 2,988,145 and in 2011 was estimated to be around 3,500,000. An estimate puts the population of the larger metropolitan city to be around 5,000,000. Algiers is located on the Mediterranean Sea and at the north-central portion of Algeria.

Wœrth or Woerth (German: Wörth an der Sauer) is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department and Grand Est region of north-eastern France.
