The New York Times Building is a skyscraper in 620 Eighth Avenue, on the west side of Midtown Manhattan, New York City.
Its chief tenant is The New York Times Company, publisher of The New York Times along with the International New York Times, and other papers. The building is 1,046 ft (318.8 m) tall to its pinnacle, with a roof height of 748 ft (228 m), and comprises 52 stories. Centro Financiero Confinanzas, also known as Torre de David (the Tower of David), is an unfinished abandoned skyscraper in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. It is the third highest skyscraper in the country after the twin towers of Parque Central Complex. The building of the tower began in 1990 but was halted in 1994 due to the Venezuelan banking crisis. As of 2018, the building remains incomplete and unused. It was damaged due to two earthquakes on 21 and 22 August 2018.
