The residential tower on the Gold Coast has been the world's tallest residential building from 2005 to 2011. As of 2020 it is the ninth-tallest residential tower in the world and is the tallest building in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere, and the second-tallest freestanding construction in the Southern Hemisphere, behind the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand.
